This 250 kW wind turbine was installed in December
2002 at Harbec Plastics, Inc an innovative high precision plastic molding company in
Ontario NY. This elegant machine provides supplemental energy to Harbec’s on site
combined heat and power plant which is powered by twenty five 30 kW micro gas turbines.
In addition to providing energy, the wind turbine is an engineering test bed for
wind diesel control system and Wind-Hydrogen hybrid system research.
