The Fuhrländer FL 100 wind turbine is well suited to provide supplementary low cost power to remote diesel generation plants or for on-site power for medium sized schools, factories and farms. Originally designed to provide power under extreme conditions in remote locations, this robust wind turbine is less costly to maintain than others in its class. A dual speed dual wound generator gives the highest efficiency at all wind speeds and the aerodynamic blade tip brakes slow the turbine to a stop with a minimum of stress on the drive train. The FL 100 has an advanced controller which can provide detailed information on turbine performance over a phone line to a local computer or via the internet to a location anywhere in the world.
